Meet the teacher ...
Jo is a fully qualified teacher with 20 years' experience teaching students from Kindergarten to Year 6. She is passionate about creating opportunities for children to build new skills and develop confidence in their abilities.

Jo has a keen interest in childhood mental health and has built upon her teaching qualifications and experience by completing a Graduate Diploma in Psychology through Monash University. She prides herself on building positive connections with the students in her care so that they feel safe and secure in the classroom.

Jo has a strong belief in the importance of providing young children with a solid foundation for future learning. She is perfectly placed to provide your child with the support that they need for the important transition to school. Jo has sound knowledge of the Kindergarten curriculum and expectations of children in the early years of school.

Jo has been practicing yoga for over 15 years. She frequently uses it in her classroom to help children develop flexibility, core strength and strategies to calm the mind and body. Jo is a certified Peaceful Babes Kids Yoga Teacher.
Jo has a strong grounding in creative and performing arts. She enjoys using a range of materials to complete art projects and appreciates the positive impact a creative outlet can have on mental health.

Jo holds a current Working with Children Check and has completed mandatory child protection training. She is trained in CPR and emergency care, including responding to anaphylaxis.

Jo founded Space to Grow Learning Centre to support children's social and emotional well-being while fostering a love of learning in a caring and nurturing environment.
